At Killarney State School students have the opportunity to assume Student Leadership roles from Years 6 to Year 10.  We believe in giving all students the opportunity to develop the confidence and skills to be effective citizens - our Student Leadership program assists with this development.

Student leadership roles include:

  • School Leader – elected from the Year 10 cohort
  • School Vice Leader – elected from the Year 10 cohort
  • Madsen House Team – Year 10 students nominate to be part of the house team
  • Chauvel House Team - Year 10 students nominate to be part of the house team
  • Class Representatives – students from Years 3 to 9 are chosen to represent their peers and fellow students

It is expected that Student Leaders attend student council meetings, represent the views of their peers, undertake duties assigned by teaching staff and set an appropriate example for others to follow.
