What an inspirational and informative visit.  I am so happy to hear of the discussions that are happening at home and at school as a result of this visit.

Key safety messages:

  • Recognise – the dangers; be alert for clues; body clues to alert you to something not be right - such as a funny feeling in your tummy or your heart beating faster.
  • React – choices; plan ahead to create a plan.
  • Report – tell an adult in your life who cares for your safety when there is a problem.
  • Safety helpers – 5 special adults that children know, to help and to listen when something is wrong or they are in trouble … if one of the safety helpers doesn’t / can’t listen then try another one. “No. My body belongs to me!”
