Student leadership

At Killarney State School students have the opportunity to assume Student Leadership roles from Years 6 to Year 10.  We believe in giving all students the opportunity to develop the confidence and skills to be effective citizens - our Student Leadership program assists with this development.

Student leadership roles include:

  • School Captain – elected from the Year 10 cohort
  • School Vice Captain – elected from the Year 10 cohort
  • Madsen House Captain – one each elected from the Year 10 cohort and the Year 7   cohort
  • Chauvel House Captain - one each elected from the Year 10 cohort and the Year 7 cohort
  • Class Representatives – each term a student is elected from Years 6, 7, 8 and 9

It is expected that Student Leaders attend student council meetings, represent the views of their peers, undertake duties assigned by teaching staff and set an appropriate example for others to follow.
